Yes. Mini seedless watermelons ship in 9-count packs. SCP also handles yellow-flesh and orange-flesh watermelons alongside the standard red-flesh line.

Is produce available year-round?

Yes. SCP's farms are spread across eleven growing regions so supply follows the season. Florida runs the winter and spring deal, then production moves north through Georgia and into the eastern and midwestern regions for summer and fall, with Mexican, Dominican, and Puerto Rican supply covering the remaining windows.

What is the minimum order?

Southern Corporate Packers sells by the truckload. Mixed and match pallets can be built across commodities on a truckload order, which is standard practice in the wholesale produce business.

What pack types are available?

SCP supports the standard pack types used across the wholesale produce market, including bins, cartons, bushels and half bushels, count packs, DRC, and returnable containers. Specific grades and counts by commodity are listed on each product page.

Do you do private label or custom packs?

Yes. Product ships under the Yum Yum label and SCP works with customers on pack and label requirements. Contact the sales desk to discuss a program.

Do you carry jalapeños, poblanos, and other chile peppers?

Yes. The specialty line covers jalapeño, poblano, cubanelle, serrano, Anaheim, Hungarian wax, banana, long hots, and finger hots. Poblano, cubanelle, jalapeño, and long hots ship by the bushel; serrano and Hungarian ship in half bushels.

Do you have greenhouse colored bell peppers?

Yes. SCP runs a Dominican Republic greenhouse program supplying red, yellow, and orange bell peppers in XXL and large, starting in November.

Florida is the domestic winter vegetable deal, and peppers run fall through spring, when northern production is out. SCP supplements with Mexican and Dominican greenhouse supply through the same window.

Who ships wholesale zucchini and yellow squash?

Southern Corporate Packers grows and ships both. Green zucchini is available in Fancy, Medium, medium/large, and bushel packs; yellow squash ships in Fancy and Medium.

Do you carry hard squash?

Yes. Acorn, butternut in extra large and large, and spaghetti squash ship through the fall and winter. Kabocha, delicata, hubbard, and calabaza are available through the sourcing program.

What is grey squash?

Grey squash, also called Mexican squash or calabacita, is a pale green summer squash common in Hispanic retail and foodservice. SCP handles it alongside zucchini.

When is Florida squash season?

Florida soft squash runs fall through spring, filling the window when northern production is finished. The deal moves north through the Southeast and into the eastern and midwestern regions for summer.

What cucumber grades does SCP ship?

Super, Select, Small, and Plain, plus 24- and 36-count packs. Pickling, English, and Persian cucumbers are available through the sourcing program.

What is the difference between hand-picked and machine-picked green beans?

Hand-picked beans are selected individually and carry the premium retail grade, with more uniform sizing and less mechanical damage. Machine-picked beans are harvested in volume and are used for value programs and processing. SCP ships both.

Do you carry wax beans and half-runners?

Yes. Yellow wax beans and half-runners ship alongside the standard green bean line.

When are Florida green beans in season?

Florida green beans run fall through spring as part of the domestic winter vegetable deal, then the season moves north through the Southeast and into the eastern regions for summer.

Who is a wholesale eggplant supplier in Florida?

Southern Corporate Packers in Immokalee, Florida grows and ships eggplant by the truckload as part of its Florida winter vegetable program. Italian eggplant ships at fancy grade in bushels and count cartons.

What eggplant grade does SCP ship?

Fancy is the standard grade on Italian eggplant. Japanese, Chinese, graffiti and fairytale varieties are available for specialty and Asian retail sets.

When is Florida eggplant in season?

Fall through spring, through the Florida winter vegetable deal, when northern production is out. The season then moves north into the eastern regions for summer.

Can eggplant ship on a mixed load?

Yes. Eggplant combines readily with peppers, squash and cucumbers on a mixed pallet, which is standard practice on a truckload order.

What lettuce packs does Southern Corporate Packers ship?

Iceberg in 24 count cartons naked or cello wrapped, romaine in 24 count cartons, and romaine hearts in 12 and 18 count retail packs.

What is cello iceberg?

Cello iceberg is iceberg lettuce individually film wrapped before packing. It holds better through distribution and is the preferred pack for many retail produce sets.

Is lettuce available year round?

Yes. Florida and the desert regions cover the winter and spring, and western production covers spring through fall, so lettuce can be quoted on a standing weekly program.

What hard squash does Southern Corporate Packers ship?

Acorn, butternut and spaghetti squash are the core line, in extra large and large grades. Kabocha, delicata, hubbard and calabaza are available for fuller assortments.

What grades does butternut squash ship in?

Extra large and large are the standard grades. Butternut ships in cartons and in bins for volume programs.

When is hard squash in season?

Fall through winter is the main deal, with Florida running fall through spring and offshore supply covering late winter into spring.

Can hard squash ship as a mixed pallet?

Yes. A mixed pallet of acorn, butternut and spaghetti is a common way to run the fall produce set.
